Joanne Brion

Principal of Brion Economics, Inc. (BEI)

Joanne Brion has over 25 years of experience in urban economics, strategic planning, and public policy. She is the principal of Brion Economics, Inc. (BEI), a Northern California urban economics consulting firm founded in the Bay Area. Ms. Brion’s expertise includes child care policy, fiscal /financial analysis, economic impact assessments, development impact fee nexus studies, housing assessments, market studies, demographic forecasting, and public policy analysis. The current focus of her firm is child care planning and policy. She has prepared dozens of child care related studies throughout the State of California. She holds a MA in Urban Planning from NYU and a BA in Urban Studies from SFSU.
