“Develop enough courage so that you can stand up for yourself and then stand up for somebody else.”

Maya Angelou

While in the past she has held such titles as Communications Consultant, Corporate Legal Associate, and even Pastry Chef, Simone’s passion for narrative and her background in the law uniquely position her to act as the Communications and Community Advocacy Associate for the Child Care Law Center.

In her role, she uses empathy and a desire for knowledge mobilization to break down barriers between people and information. Her goal is to help anyone understand the legal and legislative process to better advocate for themselves and others. She also acts as the Program Manager for the educational trainings the Center hosts, and regularly attends community meetings to keep the Center connected to its mission of uplifting the needs of parents and providers.

Simone received her J.D. from Washington University in St Louis and her B.A. in Communication Studies from University of Montana. In her free time you can find her hiking in the hills, baking treats for friends, or catching up on reality tv.
