Sabrina Siddiqui is a communications executive with nearly 20 years of experience managing communications at the highest levels of government, political campaigns, non-profits and the private sector. She currently works on integrity and data transparency issues at Meta, and recently moved from Washington DC to Oakland. She joined the board in 2023.

Peter Rabbit

Deanne Bray holds responsibility for Child Care Law Center’s fiscal strength in her role as Finance Director. Ms. Bray has more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit business management, primarily in the Bay Area and most recently at Project Ninety, a division of Caminar, where she served as controller. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Adamson University.

Financial Services Manager - County of San Mateo

Moony Tong is a Financial Services Manager with the County of San Mateo. He has served in financial management roles in health and human services agencies including as Controller for Wu Yee Children’s Services and as Director of Finance and Operations with Donaldina Cameron House in San Francisco. Moony received his Masters in Public Administration from San Francisco State University. Mr. Tong joined the Child Care Law Center Board of Directors in 2015.

Paula Mathis is an Early Childhood Advocate, and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of early childhood development and education. Ms. Mathis has been a volunteer since 1995, and a leader and board member for numerous child development programs in Orange County. She has served on the Child Care Law Center Board of Directors since 2018. Ms. Mathis received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from University of California, San Francisco and her bachelor’s degree from University of California, Davis.

Strategic Campaigns Director - SEIU CA State Council

Mary Gutierrez-Hunter is the Strategic Campaigns Director at SEIU CA State Council, which serves as the political and legislative arm for over 700,000 California workers. In her role, Ms. Gutierrez-Hunter leads the work to meet the unions’ vision of a strong early care and education system, that works for children, families, and child care providers. Ms. Gutierrez-Hunter joined the Child Care Law Center Board of Directors in 2016.
